In today's society, we focus more on negative things rather than positives one. For example, Lincoln High School. Rather than praising the accomplishments the students make, they expose the mistakes that happen. The school is constantly put down because of it's reputation and past. Artist, Tupac, explains this by metaphorically comparing a rose growing from concrete to a mannered ghetto kid. He uses a metaphor to assert his belief.
Tupac uses a metaphor by comparing a rose growing from concrete to a ghetto kid. This symbolizes the kid trying to become bigger than what was expected of him/her and people discouraging it from his/her's past. However, if they saw a rose grow from concrete which is very rare, they'd be fascinated by it. These two completely different things relate because it represents how the people would be more accepting of the flower where as judgmental and non supportive of the ghetto kid.
